Shrewsbury Sharks Swim Team

The Shrewsbury Sharks Swim Team is part of the Southwest St. Louis County Municipal Swim and Dive League. The league is a recreational summer swim and dive league with teams from cities in the St. Louis area. All teams are sponsored by their respective city’s parks and recreation departments. Membership to the Shrewsbury Sharks Swim Team is open to swimmers ages 6 – 18, Residents and Non-Residents. There aren't 'tryouts' to join the team, but we do have a safety requirement that all swimmers have to meet to be on the team: For their safety: all swimmers must be able to swim 1 length of the pool without stopping to touch the bottom/sides/lane lines. If swimmers can't meet this requirement by the first week after practices start, they'll receive a refund. No refunds will be given after June 12th, unless with approved medical excuse. 

Prior to signing up, please read through the parent info packet (above) and understand the commitment for both your swimmers and the family's volunteer requirement before registering for the team. Practice times will be confirmed once we have enough information to determine age/practice block groups. See parent packet for tentative practice times for each age group.

2024 Season Information:

Registration Fee:
Aquatic Center Pass Holders: $140 for the first swimmer and $130 for each additional child.
Non-Pass Holders: $160 for the first swimmer and $150 for each additional child.

Volunteer Hold Checks: Our swim team cannot function without the support and help from our families. All families will have a quota of volunteer duties to meet each season, and as part of the registration process, each family is required to provide hold checks for the number of tasks required for the season. If the tasks are completed by the end of the season as assigned, the checks will be returned. Fail to complete your quota of volunteering for the season and your checks will be cashed. For 2024 Season: 2 Volunteer Checks for $100 each are due at the time of registration. Checks can be made out to Shrewsbury Parks and Recreation.
