The Shrewsbury Parks and Recreation Department will provide well-rounded, quality programs and significant resources by anticipating and responding to customer needs, while enhancing the sense of a close, safe community for all current and future participants.

 


Fees and Registration
To register for programs, call the Shrewsbury Parks and Recreation Department at 314-647-1003 or register in person at the Shrewsbury City Center. Participants are encouraged to pre-register for programs unless otherwise noted. Programs with low enrollment are subject to cancellation three days prior to the start of the program. All fees associated with any programs must be paid for at the time of registration. We accept Cash, Check or Credit Cards: Visa, MasterCard or Discover. Rates for rentals, passes, and programs are subject to change at any time.

Refund Policy
Refunds will only be given if: 1. The participant is unable to attend due to illness. A physician's statement must be presented before a refund will be disbursed. A prorated amount will be given if the program has already begun. 2. The program is cancelled. Refunds will be given to all paid participants. 3. The participant makes a written request before the start of the second class. Request received after the second class will entitle the participant to a prorated refund at the director's discretion.

Program Proposals
Do you have an idea for a program or event that you want to share with the community? The Shrewsbury Parks and Recreation Department seeks suggestions and instructors for youth and adult leisure enrichment programs, fitness, sports, and other activities. To propose a new program, email parks@shrewsburymo.gov or visit the ‘Get Involved’ Page on our website. Help us keep Shrewsbury Parks and Recreation growing and staying up to date with new trends and community interests!

Code of Conduct
The City of Shrewsbury expects reasonable and appropriate behavior from those who visit park amenities, use the City of Shrewsbury facilities, or participate in activities. The Parks & Recreation Department has established a code of conduct to ensure safety and enjoyment and reserves the right to deny admission and/or take disciplinary action against any individual violating the code of conduct. A violation includes but is not limited to, the use of obscene language or gestures, disorderly conduct, theft, public intoxication, use of drugs, sexual misconduct, indecency, harassment, failure to cooperate with staff, possession of weapons of any kind, non-compliance with established policies and rules, any unlawful activity and any other behavior deemed offensive or unacceptable. Staff will enforce this code of conduct.

Photo Release
Shrewsbury Parks and Recreation frequently videotapes and photographs participants enjoying our programs, special events, parks and facilities. These images are used by Parks and Recreation and the City of Shrewsbury in publications, print, on the web, for TV/cable promotions, or to use as is seen fit. The images are used at the Department’s discretion and become its sole property.
